Now flip flops are the only things I can wear. I just happened to walk into a large, barnicle covered rock. For some reason, I had the idea to pull our hoodie strings so that they went really tight and we couldn't see. The foundation you have with yourself is the foundation you have with everyone else. Cheer loud for yourself so you can cheer louder for others. Anyway, I was with my friend and we were walking along the beach. Practice giving yourself encouragement and validation. I went to the beach the other day (yes, I do have a life). Ah well, I actually can't really be bothered to talk about painful stuff like that, so let me get on with it.įlip flops! I mean, aren't they the greatest invention in the world? (except for slippers, of course, but that's a different story) Let me tell you a story about flipflops. Oh wait, the blog IS titled nonsense, gossip and flip flops. I really don't want to bore anyone with my nonsense. I have only just gotten over the terror that is school, and I seriously can't believe I have to go back to a year of exams, hard work and complete stress. It's the holidays (yay) and I'm so utterly bored I can't even think straight. So, without further ado, let me begin my blog. Now, I haven't read a lot of blogs, so I don't know how long they should be, but I'm guessing just long enough so as not to completely bore the reader. I was just considering what to write, but y'know, I believe you should write what you feel, hence the title. Overall, Read Write Think has some great resources for all year levels.Weelll so here's me, new to the world of blogging. I like this method because if you do a Find All References on the bool variable this line will show only once (just like a bool++) whereas with the other method it will show 2 times back to back which is annoying. There are some limitations to this site such as the fact that some work can’t be saved although it can be printed and there is always the option to screen capture your work. Explanation: is the XOR cond operator, it is like a normal OR except if both are true it returns false instead of true, which means that you only get these two cases: 011 and 110 which indeed inverts the bool (the first bit).

The site also includes some useful “writing” resources such as Acrostic Poems, Animal Inquiry, Postcard Creator, Flip Book and Letter Generator. There are also some great “learning centre” type games for younger students such as Word Wizard, ABC Match, Word Family Sort and What’s in the Bag? My Grade Two students particularly enjoy Construct-a-word. Here is a Venn diagram a group of my Grade Two students made this week after we read a book in Guided Reading. Ah well, I actually can't really be bothered to talk about painful stuff like that, so let me get on with it. There are many “thinking tool” type resources that could be used as an after reading task such as a plot diagram, book cover creator, character trading cards, story map and timeline. There are over 50 interactive resources that would be great to use on the IWB in any literacy classroom. The site also includes some useful writing resources such as Acrostic Poems, Animal Inquiry, Postcard Creator, Flip Book and Letter Generator.

While this site includes lesson plans and web resources, I have found the most useful aspect of the site to be the Student Materials. Read Write Think is a site from the UK that offers a collection of online Student Materials to support literacy learning in the P-12 classroom.
